I could not put this book down once I started reading it, I just had to know what exactly was going on with the Sinclairs, with Chloe's life and her marriage. The reader follows Chloe as she tries to figure out what happened to her husband Nate and what was really going on with the Sinclairs, both when she was growing up and in the present storyline. Everything is not what it seems in this novel and sometimes I felt just as frustrated as Chloe about all of the secrecy but I enjoyed putting the pieces of both her life and the Sinclairs together over the course of the novel.

The Book of Secrets is overall a riveting and fascinating story. It is a lot darker than I expected it to be. I recommend this novel to bibliophiles and readers who love to read an intriguing family drama.
