Anna and Ethan are separated by the Atlantic Ocean. Their previous rules no longer apply.

In order to make things work, Anna needs to let go of her past and take a risk with Ethan. Ethan needs to learn how to deal with the ambiguity of a relationship.

Long-distance relationships are never easy and their situation is fragile. For how long can it survive under the pressure of separation? Are either of them prepared to give up what they have for the other?

But distance isn’t the only obstacle Anna and Ethan face. Ultimately they have to decide whether they want to share a future together.

NEW YEAR IN MANHANTTAN is the third and last installment in the provocative Empire State series. Things get complicated as Ethan and Anna admit they love each other. Unfortunately, they live on two different continents and hope their relationship can survive the distance and separation. I was happy to connect again with Ethan and Anna and I wanted them to work through their issues and find their happily ever after. Their chemistry is still explosive as they share their feelings and learn more about each other. Even though Ethan has never been in a relationship, he’s the perfect boyfriend. He’s always upfront with Anna and lets her know how much he cares about her.

I enjoyed this delicious, sexy story about two successful attorneys as they fall in love and was sad to see the series end. Louis Bay knows how to write a well written story, with a believable plot, dialogue that flows and interesting characters. I loved every minute of this passionate story and my only disappointment with this last book, was the abrupt ending.
