A Wright Christmas by K A Linde

A Wright Christmas (Wright, #7)

by K.A. Linde

A new second chance single dad stand alone romance set in the world of the Wrights from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde...

At seventeen, I left Isaac Donoghue behind to become a professional ballerina.

When I return home to dance in the Nutcracker, I never expect to run into him. Let alone on my first day in town. I can't help but admire him in a crisp suit with his toned soccer body, chiseled jawline, and all too familiar piercing green eyes. I thought nothing could surprise me more.

Until his five year old daughter runs out of the ballet studio.

I'm only in town for a month. I shouldn't get involved with anyone, especially the ex I've been pining after for years. Especially now that he's a single dad with a daughter to consider.

But where Isaac is concerned, I've never been able to stay away.

With the help of some Christmas magic, maybe we finally have a shot at our second chance.

A Wright Christmas by Natasha Madison turned out to be a sweet second chance romance set in Lubbock, Texas. It tells the story of high school sweethearts whose relationship ended on mutual terms when Peyton went to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a professional ballerina. Her life may have taken a different path, but time and distance did not dim her love for Isaac. A fact she would discover when she reunited with him 16.5 years later.

Peyton returned home to Lubbock, for the first time in 16.5 years to perform in Nutcracker and to spend time with her family during the festive season. As she would only be home for a month, falling in love with her high school sweetheart all over again was not on her agenda. Fate, however, had other plans.

Isaac may not have been able to fulfil his dream of becoming a soccer player, but he is making the best of his life as a single father and a successful architect. Fifteen years ago, he made the biggest sacrifice, but he never expected he would have a second chance until he came to face to face with the one woman who held his heart captive for so many years. However, with her only being in town for one month, will he risk his heart and that of his daughter or will he sacrifice all in the name of love?

I had a wonderful time with this book and it was fun to go back to the world of the Wrights family. I went in with high expectations and the author met each one. My only complaint is that I wanted more of Peyton and Isaac’s story. I loved how the romance developed instinctively and without the unnecessary angst.

I enjoyed the family dynamics featured in the story. I admired Isaac’s interaction with his daughter, loving but firm. I also had fun catching up with the members of the Wright family. Based on the information provided, I know there will be more stories featuring this powerful family.

Madison created a warm-hearted festive story filled with Christmas cheer which featured a swoon worthy hero, an adorable but stubborn five-year-old and a determined heroine.

Conclusion/Recommendation
A Wright Christmas gave me all the feels and gave an extra boost to my waning Christmas spirit. Fans of second chance romance and the single father trope will enjoy this latest offering from Natasha Madison.
