Heart of Eternity by N. Jay is quite an intense and unique read. This is a tale that will pull you to question the durability of your faith. Is your faith strong enough to overpower the annoyance of your past and to capture your inner demons? The main focus of this story is on ancient healing and the metaphysical realm.

Heart of Eternity has been classed under the contemporary romance and suspense genre. I tend to disagree with the classification of contemporary romance. There were some elements of romance, however, I do not believe it was enough to classify it as such. There was some amount of suspense as the author had me wondering what next was going to happen in the lives of Jay and Naida. This, however, was not the type of suspense one would expect when you hear the word romantic suspense. I found this book to be more on the spiritual side as it was a portrayal of the battle between good and evil in the spiritual realm.

We are introduced to Jay, who is what one would term a bad boy. He is quite charming with a vibrant and infectious personality. When it came to women he was the ultimate heart-breaker. He had no room in his heart for love. He is a danger junkie and is willing to participate in any activity that will allow him to feel pain. He felt that he was beyond redemption.

Naida the female protagonist is a twenty-one year old college student who has been diagnosed with cancer. She decided to seek spiritual healing against her parents' wishes. They desired for her to go the scientific route. In order to achieve her goal, she sought the help of her uncle Zachriel who is a spiritual healer.

The writing style is poetic, beautiful and quite positive. It reaches into your heart and touches your soul. The story flowed from the beginning to the end and it had me quite captivated.

Heart of Eternity is a story of self-discovery, healing, overcoming the past and the conquering of one's demons. This is an excellent read and I am looking forward to more from this author.
