His Wounded Rose by Lisagh is the second book in the Soul Scavengers series. It would be best to read the Wilde and the Witch before proceeding with this title. It continues the story of Olivia Emerson, a clairvoyant, and Sullivan Wilde a paranormal investigator. These two became romantically involved, which could make things difficult as in light of the fact that one party wanted to keep the relationship secret.

I liked the fact that the author did not try to make the relationship between the two appear perfect. They were faced with uncertainties and obstacles just like real life couples, which made it easy to relate them.

I found the supporting characters, especially Hudson a bit annoying. At first I found it difficult to trust Kelly, however , as the story progressed it became clear why they both behaved the way they did.

This story touched on the sensitive issue of mental illness and the effect it as on the individual and those who are close to them. This is a story of jealousy, anger and secrets to which readers can relate to.

Overall, I found this to be an ok read. My main problem with this title was the ending as it left me hanging. I am eager to see what next this author has in store for her readers.
