What would you do if you wanted one night alone without your significant other with you? Would you lie or bend the truth? This is the question that is posed to Amy and Joe in this short novella.

Soon after Joe asked Amy a very important question, they both start to question if what Joe asked is what they both want. Needing space, they both bend the truth to the other and head off to do something they know the other won't approve of. For Joe, that means rushing a fraternity. For Amy, that means going to a party. What they both discover is the one things they thought they needed space from was the one thing they craved while apart.

Not having read Pretty Amy, I was a bit confused about some of there references that were made in this novella. However, the story was laid out in such a way that it didn't really matter what had happened to the characters before. What was important was that moment in time and the decision Joe and Amy made.

The story was written in both Joe and Amy's point of view so we got the different perspectives on what had lead to this moment in time. It was well done and has me very curious about Pretty Amy and what led up to this particular night in Joe and Amy's life.

Definitely one I'm glad I got to read and an series I will be looking to read more of.
