Burn for Me was definitely a hot read! It's one of those friends-to-lover romances where they have so much chemistry that the pages just might explode! Jamie and Smith have been friends for years, but that's it. Just friends. As in hanging out and going bowling friends. But during the launch party for the upcoming Spring Festival, things change. They have a hot and heavy session, and it's unlike anything Jamie thought she'd do (or like!) before, but she's afraid of getting hurt and losing her best friend. Of course, this means she has to get Smith out of her system by proposing a temporary arrangement.

I kind of adored Burn for Me. Jamie is this sweet young woman who's just had a sexual awakening with her dirty talking, volunteer fireman friend. She knows he doesn't do serious relationships, and she's seen too many people who fall for their best friend wind up heartbroken, so she suggests the friends with benefits thing. Well, Smith actually like-likes Jamie and does want more from her, so he's hoping to win her heart while they have this sexy fling! I loved how it was the guy who was completely smitten and the woman wanting to keep it casual! Obvious the casual thing doesn't work out, since this is ultimately a romance. A very sweet romance at that, involving Mad Libs and puppies!

Burn for Me had the perfect balance of sexy and sweet. Jamie and Smith are great together in every way, and I loved how they actually talked through stuff in the beginning instead of just tiptoeing around the issue. There is no major fight either, just some misunderstandings, but they're fixed in the best possible ways! Also, every trip to the bookstore needs to be like in this book. Woah.
