This is a super quickie read with a young Eleanor (aka Nora) from The Original Sinners finding herself being farmed out to one of her master's friends to help him re-enter the scene after mourning his wife's death over the past three years.

If you've read any of The Original Sinners books, we see that same defiant Nora in her younger Eleanor self. She's mad that her master has forced her to help his friend by staying with him for seven days. But what Eleanor finds is a man who uses her body differently than her master and who gives himself completely to her. It's everything she's ever wanted from her master but knows she'll never have. She might be swayed to live with Daniel as her master, but Eleanor knows ultimately where her heart lies. It was interesting to see a twenty three year old Nora struggle with who she was in love with, but knowing that despite what she gets out of the relationship, he's exactly who she wants to be with.

Then there was Daniel. He was easy to fall for. He easily separated his Dom persona in the bedroom from who he was outside. He was truly someone, knowing what Nora's like in her thirties, I could see Nora with. He may have been able to get her to submit to him in the bedroom, she was truly an equal to him outside. Eleanor would definitely have been a different person if it was Daniel she had stayed with, rather than going back to her master.

If you've been reading The Original Sinners series, this is definitely so much needed insight into Nora and to what purpose a certain master used her to heal friends within their underground community.
