With absolutely loving the first book in this series, War of Hearts, I couldn't wait to get to this one. Of course, life happened and the world went into chaos,I ended up putting this book to the side. And recently, I finally dove in.
My reading tastes have changed quite a bit over the past few months and one trope that's been super tough for me to get through is a slow burn. So I struggled with this one quite a bit. And what we've come to learn about Rose and Fionn as we learn more about them and why their connection is so strong, I also had trouble with that little bit.
I did love both Rose and Fionn, but Rose significantly more. With everything she's been through and how she constantly kept her drive to move forward, I was rooting for her the whole time.
Overall, I still enjoyed this one and I'm very much in love with this series. Kiss of Vengeance was a bit too slow for me, but that also goes along with my current preferences. Love the world that S. Young has created for us and I can't wait for the next book.
