As a child, this was one of my favorite movies, and it still is today.
The Herdman's while extremely unruly children are just products of their environment. With a mom who is always working and a dad who left, they are left on their own and lot, and the fact that they haven't gotten taken away yet is rather amazing.
For this Christmas Pageant, they brought back the realness of it, instead of the cookie cutter it had become for so many churches. They showed real awe and emotion and truly wanted to learn. For me, this story will always make me smile because of how much you see everyone changes and really see the true meaning of Christmas.
