The Creation Story for Children

Filled with vibrant images of the week of Creation, this is the Bible story of the creation taken from Genesis 1-2 and Psalms 139.

The Creation Story for Children is really three books in one. The first 15 pages are The Story of Creation for Children, pp. 26-31 are pages with details about God's Amazing Creatures with details and talking points for discussion with children, and pp. 32-39 are pages that divide up the 139 Psalm with illustrations.

While this is a new recommendation to me, this is not actually a new book. Originally copyright 2000 and more recently 2009! The illustrations are lovely, vibrant, and creative. There is so much to look at while reading through the KJV (King James Version) of the Genesis scripture and a prompting discussion paragraph. The discussions range from science to other conversations and it is a great way to get kids truly thinking about the creation story.

As for the portion of the book that is The Creation Story for Children, I give this book a full five stars. The animals section is neat too, but I was lost a bit in my interest when we started into the Psalm 139 pages. All in all, I'm a fan and adamantly recommend this book for your kiddos. A great choice for school as well.
