Tempting Tristan is a stand-alone M/M romance featuring two sexy, lovable alpha heroes.
TRISTAN AND ALEX
Fresh off the heels of yet another bad relationship, Tristan Brewer is taking a break from men to try to figure out where he keeps going wrong. He knows his biggest fault—he leads with his heart, not his head—and that’s never going to change. But after several introspective weeks, he’s beginning to get a handle on things. That is, until badass heartthrob Alex Wells walks into his bar...
Alex has spent eight years in the army, months in a hospital bed, and far too long hiding his sexual identity. He’s guilt-ridden, damaged, pissed off, and up for a Silver Star for the incident that nearly cost him his life—and kept him from his grandmother’s funeral. But all he wants to do is live the life he’s always dreamed of and forget his stint with the institution that allows but doesn’t necessarily accept.
The chemistry between Tristan and Alex ignites from the moment they meet, and the more time they spend together, the hotter the flames burn. But the closer they become, the more Alex's walls go up, and when the two walk onto a military base, Tristan finds out Alex’s physical scars aren’t the ones that run the deepest.

This is the third book in the Harborside Nights series and like the first two books; Catching Cassidy and Discovering Delilah, Tempting Tristan is a standalone novel.
Tristan Brewer is on a relationship hiatus after another disappointing break-up which has left him hurt, ignored and unappreciated. When Alex Wells walks up to the bar in the Taproom his radar is on high alert...as is every single available male or female in the bar. He likes what he sees, but he's straight right? Wrong! The guy with a swagger only has eyes for him...if only he wasn't taking a break!
Alex Wells is in Harborside to set down roots. He's taking over his late grandmother's bungalow and with lots of happy memories, he hopes to erase his past insecurities and start again in this small town. He's anxious to meet the man who befriended his grandmother and looked out for her before she died if nothing else to just thank him for his kindness. However, when he sees the sexy barman in the Taproom, he instantly knows his decision to come to this small town was the right one.
This M/M book packs an emotional punch as Tristan and Alex overcome their issues. The attraction between the protagonists is instant although the foundations of their emotional connection are laid before they actually meet, courtesy of the relationships they both had with Alex's grandmother. Therefore, when Alex walks into the Taproom during Tristan's shift, their physical, instant reaction is like a missing piece of a puzzle. Yet, nothing is clear cut as both have problems they need to work through to enable them to be together. Tristan throws himself wholeheartedly into his relationships, only to be hurt and used when things don't work out. He's comfortable in his skin when it comes to his sexuality although embarrassed that his interests are more than a little cliché for a gay man. Whilst Alex needs to get used to the fact he doesn't need to hide who he is anymore.
The author wrote this with a dual point of view however sometimes it was often difficult for me to keep track of which guy was speaking. Thankfully, that didn't spoil, what is a very enjoyable addition to the very engaging Harborside Nights series.
