Tengu. Lord of Crows. Prince of Shadows.

Long before his name was feared by yokai across the realm, he was a dying raven with silver eyes.

Ugh. Yumei. And here I was thinking I couldn’t love you more than I already did. Well I was Wrong AF. Ahhhh so happy rn.

[Honestly, it was instalove anyway, as my married name means raven, and so I have an obsession with them (funny that I have always been like that with only just foxes & ravens, given the original story). Haha.]

But he, as a character, is just so absolutely addicting & fascinating; the more I got to uncover about him in the original trilogy the more enamored I was. This story increased that to the nth degree. He IS STILL a huge question mark and so I was over the freakin moon to learn about this story coming about & that Part One had already been released.

***OKAY, so;***

This is the first part in a larger story about Yumei’s (from the Red Winter Trilogy) origins and I am here to tell you that it is an absolutely freakin’ fantastic start to his story! You also get to see more beloved characters again (yay!!!) in another light, and the best part is...

I GOT TO RETURN TO THE WORLD OF THE RED WINTER TRILOGY.

I absolutely cannot wait for Part Two! Gimme gimme!

YAS.
