This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Lisa for letting me take part in this tour.  We first me the Whiskeys in Tru Blu and I fell in love with them instantly. The may seem like big, gruff, scary guys but they are actually big hearted, loyal, sweet guys under all that gruff.

Bullet Whiskey is the protector in the family. He speaks him mind and makes no excuses for it. Bullet is tortured by something happened in his past. He is very cagey and refuses to speak about it. His guilt is evident in everything he does, like he's trying to make up for it in some way but never succeeds. I felt like Bullet had the weight of the world on his shoulders and everyone was waiting for him to say I can't do this anymore but he was too stubborn and too proud to say it.

Finlay is everything that Bullet appears not to be. She's sweet and from Bullet's perspective she doesn't have hs baggage and she doesn't need it. What Finlay makes Bullet realise is that we all have our baggage but its how we deal with it that helps us to live with it.  Finlay was a very likeable character. She's got a big heart, she's sweet and she makes the most amazing food.

This book was not full of drama but had just enough for me. Melissa is one of my favourite writers and she knows just the right dose of drama for her characters. Yes she has written books with more drama but she has also written books with less. For me, she gets it right for the characters in that book.

If you're looking for an alpha that will make your heart melt and a sweetie that will break down his walls then this book is for you.
