I really enjoyed the focus on blogging in Trophy Husband. McKenna has a popular fashion blog and it was sold to a TV network so she has her own show. After an unfortunate incident involving cat pee, she meets fellow blogger, Chris. He also got his own show after blogging about video games, and uses his show to signal boost her quest, since most of his audience is in the 18-23 male demographic! Obviously, McKenna and Chris end up hitting it off instead.
I was worried that there was going to be a lot of needless drama in Trophy Husband based on McKenna's situation. Thankfully, it doesn't go there. I actually really liked McKenna's interactions with Amber, even as she tried to hate her. There is some stuff with her ex, but it was more entertaining rather than dramatic, because that man has no shame! I also liked how McKenna handled falling for Chris while still on her quest to find a younger man. That easily could have been a mess, but the author took it in a different direction.
Trophy Husband isn't my favorite of the series, but it's still a very good read. The only thing that kind of bothered me about it was that there's several scenes of McKenna fantasizing about Chris rather than actually being with him! I wanted real kissing not imaginary! Obviously, being a romance, the two do eventually get to real kissing and more.
