I really enjoyed The Shark and I and I'm very impressed with Cara Lockwood's writing style. I think Amanda Ronconi's narration really highlighted the humour and enhanced Cara's skill.
I found myself laughing at the trials and tribulations of a 40-year-old mother hitting the dating scene after a divorce. Again, I finished a story and went straight to hubby to tell him how much I love him. The dating scene seems fraught with pitfalls, especially the online services. Swiping left and right, fake photos to impress, real photos that make you feel sick, and liars, cheats and dutch dates. It's a mess and I'm glad that I happily married and don't have to face the challenge.
The Shark and I was very entertaining and I will definitely be looking for more from this author and the narrator.
