I started reading, and could not stop. I really enjoyed this book. I loved Cavallaro's take on Holmes and Watson, making them descendants of Holmes and Watson, and incorporating details from the books. Charlotte was such a complex character, and while we sort of got to know Jamie and his motivations quite quickly, Cavallaro was greedy with the pieces of Charlotte. Layers of her persona and her life were slowly revealed, but once they were out there, I had a better understanding of her.

This book was a solid 4 stars for me, but when I read the ending, it pushed my rating up a half star, because it warmed my heart. I look forward to reading more of Jamie and Charlotte's adventures.
