Heartbreaker by Carly Phillips

Heartbreaker (Chandler Brothers, #3)

by Carly Phillips

Chase Chandler is head of the town's newspaper, a role he took over when his father died. In doing so he sacrificed any hopes and dreams he had for himself. But when his mother falls ill, he realises how lonely he's become and that it's time to find a wife - and a life - of his own.

This was a solid series, and I really loved getting to know the Chandler family and seeing each brother find their HEA.

I knew Chase would have the heaviest story, because he was the one most affected by their father's death. He was the one, who put his dreams on hold to keep the family afloat, and now it was his time, but he had a battle between his head and his heart to deal with once he met Sloane.

Sloane's storyline was rather interesting. I did NOT expect the character, who played a central role to be as important as he was in this book. It was a surprise, but I liked it.

Though this was heavier, with more serious crime elements, it was still packed with lots of those fun bits I like.

Overall: A solid ending to a series I really enjoyed.
