Outside the Lines, Too is a compilation of over 100 artists from all backgrounds and thus has a huge variety of images to chose from. I really love that there was everything from super simple drawings like coloring books of my childhood and super detailed pieces that speak more of creative freedom than actual order. There is even a connect the dot that looks like it was shot full of steroids and I haven’t yet decided to brave it, even though I really want to.
It’s definitely a coloring book with something in it for everyone, and because of that I think it would make for a great family coloring book. And it’s definitely good for those who like variety in their pictures like me. I really do enjoy the super detail order of the popular coloring books, but sometimes I really just want to open up a page of alien lion and not worry about what color he needs to be.
Overall I think this is the perfect little jumble of art. It’s a lot of fun to look through and even more fun to put color to the different art styles.
