DANGEROUS RUSH picks up several weeks after FURIOUS RUSH.  Mackenzie and Hayden are trying to pick up the pieces of Cox Racing closing its doors and Hayden's racing team hiring his ex-girlfriend.  Things have never been easy for this couple and DANGEROUS RUSH definitely puts them to the test.

I had been looking forward to this book because I wanted to know what happened next with Kenzie and Hayden.  But I felt like the story fell a little flat.  We spent more time inside the heads of Hayden and Kenzie than the two of them actually talking to each other.  The silences and lies built up to a point where I wasn't sure thy would be able to fix everything that had broken.

Kenzie's relationship with Hayden wasn't the only one hanging by a thread.  The relationship with her family was in tatters as well.  Her father's stubbornness almost broke Kenzie, but she proved she was so much stronger than she through when she finally stood up to the tactics her father had used to keep her in line.

I wanted so much more from this story.  I loved Kenzie and Hayden together, but after everything they had been through I needed them both to be a bit stronger.  To trust in one another.  And to have an honest conversation with each other.  Considering their sneaking around caused issues to begin with, I would have thought they learned their lesson.
