The Witches by Roald Dahl

The Witches

by Roald Dahl

A book about 'real witches' - the ones that absolutely loathe children and are always plotting to get rid of them.

I have to admit, I'm not sure whether I actually finished this book. I know I never finished the film and I think the book probably got the same treatment.
I'm reviewing this as a children's book which is where it is usually classified. I know Roald Dahl books can be wacky, eccentric and weird but I have yet to come across another one that scared me as much as this one. I've given one star because, from my memories, it was too scary for children, maybe it would be better classed as an adult book, and it's a book I'm unlikely to ever return to.
