by Chani Lynn Feener

"Delaney's entire world is thrown into chaos after she is mistaken for Lissa Olena, an alien princess hiding out on Earth in order to escape an arranged marriage. Kidnapped by the princess's head bodyguard, Ruckus, and imprisoned in an alien palace, Delaney is forced to impersonate the princess until Olena can be found. If she fails, it will lead to an alien war and the eventual enslavement of the entire human race. No pressure or anything. Factor in Trystan--the princess's terrifying betrothed who is intent on unraveling all her secrets--and her own growing feelings for Ruckus, and Delaney is in way over her head"--Jacket.

This story surprised more then i thought it would, it was bit heavy toward the end on the romance part but i was expecting that with it be a swoon romance imprint book. The main plot is we have a human from Earth who is mistaken to be an alien princess. She wisked away to pretend to be the real princess until the other can be found. Great start where things get interesting is not really the world building but the way the different characters interact with our main character in disguise.

First off we have Ruckus who is the princess body guard, he sweet and way to interested in Delaney. Then you have The Zane who is arrogant, abusive and just rubbed me the wrong way. I would never marry my kid off to him no matter how much it would save my race or planet or whatever. He slime all the way around and some of his motives are very under handed. Then we have the parents of the princess most of the characters that Delaney interacts with are in on the fact that she not the real princess. Except for The Zane and his entourage.

The action as various times Delaney is attacked by those seeking to prevent her from marrying The Zane were intense. The love factor between Delaney and her bodyguard is right and is just right for this type of book, i did glaze over some of it at the end as not really into romance but it fit with the story.

The cliff hanger ending really tied it up for me cause i was not really sure how their was going to be more story. If you love stories that have action, aliens, political intrigue and some romance this maybe right up your alley.
