Different from the rest but still great.

I think it would be hard for authors who write series. On one hand your customers want your trademark storylines, plots and character development but on the other hand, they don't want the same storylines, plots and character development. So what happens when we get to the last few guys from Tear Asunder? Should the women they fall for be broken and beaten? Will they have to fight to the death to get them out of hell? Are we supposed to believe that each of these guys just happens to fall for women who suffer horrible situations?

Well, in Kept from You, Nashoda Rose went for a different kind of heroine. Of course, Savvy had her issues, but in they weren't life or death.

To tell you the truth, I kind of missed the emotional gut punch. Yes, it's still emotional and deals with issues that were hard but I wasn't sobbing like a baby or needing cuddles from hubby in this one. I probably should be thanking the author...she saved me money for buying tissues.

You think you know someone and then you find out that what you thought was happening wasn't happening at all. Kept from You is all about Killian and Savvy.

They met in high school where Killian was a messed up punk of a kid who liked to pick fights with bullies and scare away the baddies.

Savvy was a sweet girl who volunteered at the school first aid office and always tried to find something good in everyone. They were so different yet they felt an immense attraction to each other. Nothing happens between them besides one very impressive kiss that haunts their memories for years.

Time moves on and both of their lives have changed. Killian is in a band and he's finally moved away from the one person in his life he hates the most...his father. He's managed to bury his anger but he never buried the memory of the red haired girl from high school. No woman ever measured up to her, so he stopped trying. Maybe one day she'll drop back into his life...and he might never let her go.

Savvy is down but determined to get back up. Her douchewaffle ex-boyfriend besmirched her name and ruined her work prospects when she caught him cheating with one of their dance students. With very little money and plenty of bills to pay Savvy is getting desperate. She's hoping to call in a favour with an old high school friend. I wonder if Killian, now known as Kite, will even remember her?

Now Killian has Savvy in his clutches, he just has to work out how to keep her.

I think this was the sweetest story that Nashoda Rose has written. I really enjoyed it and was sucked in like I normally am. I just expected the boogie man to be a little scarier, to be honest. I also found that it all tied up too quickly at the end. It was like a thunderstorm one minute and rainbows the next.

All good, I'm still addicted to everything that Nashoda writes. Her stories are sexy, sweet, emotional and entertaining. I will definitely be back for Trevor's story.
