What would be your reaction, if after fifteen years of marriage your husband suddenly leaves you for a man? Personally, I would feel betrayed and hurt; as such, it was easy to understand how Amanda Lewis felt when her husband dropped this BOMBSHELL.

How does one move past, such a betrayal? Renaissance of the Heart provides the answer to this question and more.

Renaissance of the Heart is a story that reaches into your soul. It engages all your emotions from the outset. It will make you laugh, cry and scream as you follow Amanda on her journey of heartbreak, betrayal, despair and rebirth.

Her struggles with her insecurities and putting the past behind her are gut wrenching. This is something that most readers can relate to. It is easy to understand her insecurities as it relates to her romance with Bradley, who is twelve years her junior. However, there was a point where I thought she needed to cease from allowing her ex-husband’s actions to prevent her from moving on with her life. I believed that not only was she allowing the hurt, pain and negativity of the past to blight her future with Bradley, she also allowed societal norms to dictate whom she should be with.
What I love most about this story is seeing an Amanda move from a point where she felt she has no self-worth to a point where she realized she is deserving of love. In doing this she is able to have the future she deserves.

The ending is not as easy to predict. All we can hope is that there will be a happy ending. I must admit I did cheat to as I flipped to the end as I could not wait to know how the story would end.
What I learnt from this story is that we should not allow society to dictate our choices as this can lead to us missing out on great opportunities.

This is a wonderful read and I am looking forward to more of this author’s work.
