OK, so The Prince or well Caden just might be giving my favorite JLA hero, Aiden, a run for his money! No joke, it surprised the heck out of me, but I absolutely love Caden. Ever since we were introduced to him in Wicked, I just KNEW there was something about him that wasn't all bad. I was so intrigued and curious about him, and as I read through the first 3 books in this series, none of them would fulfill my questions about him. And although this is a standalone and a great introduction to the Wicked series, I totally recommend reading this series from book 1. You'll learn a bit more about the Prince and the other characters that are mentioned.

Once Brave  ended and knew that The Prince was going to be a novella part of the 1,001 Dark Nights, I was beyond excited to learn more about him. And there was a subtle and quick exchange between Brighton and Caden at the end of Brave, some may have missed it, but it's there and I was left dying to know more.

Like I've mentioned countless of times before, I love JLA's heroines. Brighton was such a different character than she's written before, but I love everything about her. She suffers such a tragic loss right in the beginning, she quickly becomes filled with revenge. Being a part of the Order, she was never trained to fight and was instead given an admin job. But deep down, she's a fighter or  a warrior true and true. She wants to right wrongs. The character development for Brighton is absolutely amazing, so well done. Things haven't been easy for her, but I loved her tenacity to keep pushing through. And even by the end, it looks like there's just, even more, she'll be getting through.

Once I finished, there was still so many questions that I needed answering. Caden was so alluring and still a bit of a mystery. He's a bit of a brood and doesn't exactly say much, but he still oozes sexiness without even trying. When 70% of the book passed by, there was no way Brighton and Caden's story was over. I just wanted so much more and I have absolutely no idea when we'll get it. But I'm completely invested in their story! I want to know more about the royal history of Caden's family because that would explain soooo much, which you'll have to learn all on your own.

Absolutely loved this novella and this series, well done!
