Ben Loves Bear by David McPhail

Ben Loves Bear

by David McPhail

Ben and Bear do everything together. After breakfast, they play hide-and-seek and do tricks to make each other laugh. At night, Ben tells Bear a bedtime story and Bear snuggles with Ben until he falls asleep. The youngest readers will relate to the loving bond between a little boy and his favorite stuffed animal and how this sweet friendship makes each day special, from morning till night. Ben Loves Bear is an amazing book and I cannot wait to get my hands on Bella Loves Bunny! Ben Loves Bear is a lot of things under these durable covers. It is an early reader that is just right for my budding preschooler. It is a board book with absolutely adorable images that delights my toddler. The sentences are short enough (Ben Loves Bear. Bear Loves Ben.) that my toddler tries to mimic it and soon I think my preschooler will have it memorized. This is wide like a board book, (6x8 dimensions) but a bit taller so it almost fits in the early readers section near the I Can Read! books. I'm totally in love with it and if there were a dozen or so similar I'd race out to get them all. Did I tell you that I cannot wait to get my hands on Bella Loves Bunny?!

Ben Loves Bear is fabulous and a wonderful addition to our shelves. It would make a great gift for anyone boy or girl, but especially boys with a specific special toy or lovey. Abrams Appleseed is doing an incredible job and every single book I have seen so far is a complete joy to me and my children. I cannot wait to see what else they have in store for readers.

Praise for Ben Loves Bear
