Ah yes, a new to me author that I can't wait to read more from! We've got a small-town romance with a bit of mystery & suspense that I wasn't expecting. I enjoyed every bit of Taylor and Walker's story and couldn't put their story down.I felt their story down to very depths of my soul, I'm a nature lover and find so much solace just being out there and hiking trails. And I loved that Cowles wrote everything so beautifully and detailed, that it's essentially like you're there looking at the same view.
The chemistry between these two were instant and it was just a matter of time before they'd be together. Taylor put up walls really quickly and just wanted to be alone, zero distractions, falling into a place where she didn't want to be disturbed. And I enjoyed Walker easily knocking down every single wall that she had with ease.
I not only have a special place in my heart for Walker, but his family as well. I fell in love with Sutter Lake and the characters so far in this series. I have a bit of an obsession with small-town romances and I'll definitely be grouping this one in my favorites!
Beautifully Broken Pieces was everything that I look for in a contemporary romance and more. Can't wait for the next book in this series and reading more by Cowles!
