Captain America: Sam Wilson #16

I was very hesitant to pick this up because it's written by Nick Spencer. However, I couldn't resist the cover, and grabbed a copy of it anyway at the bookstore.

I am glad I did. While it doesn't erase anything Spencer has done to the series, this had a great way of capturing a few different struggles of the woman condition, the black woman condition and letting a woman take the reigns in a quick toss of a comic - which is generally short. I would love an entire volume of Misty actually as Captain America, penned by a WOC. Perhaps an off-shoot novel.

If that exists, and I've missed it, please point me in the right direction, ASAP.
