Considering his history with Mariketa the Awaited, Bowen MacRieve of the Lykae clan should be pleased when dark forces unite against her. 3.5. I was quite impressed by this actually. This is definitely a true enemies to lovers, the lore was pretty great (complex at times), and the writing was engaging. Better yet, I thought Mari’s character was funny!
I think my only mild annoyance is the slight love triangle and Bowe’s annoying accent that reflects in his dialogue. Otherwise, I think there’s a lot of qualities here that lovers of romance esp paranormal will like here!
