Carter's been there for Kate from day 1 with this whole Ryan fiasco. He had to sit and watch the woman he loved going through so much hurt from this man, granted there was a lot of happy moments to. But a moment between a vulnerable Kate and a 'not-thinking' Carter, set things in motion for him. He jet-setted to Florida to find himself.

And that he did and the wonderful, spunky Whitney. I would say Declaration is my favorite in the series, to me it was all very real and how a relationship should go. I LOVED LOVED LOVED that Carter was completely honest with his feelings and past (Kate) to Whitney. I'm all about honesty is the best policy, plus relationships never go well when you keep secrets from there. So thank you Carter for being the man that I adore and not keeping things from Whitney.

I loved their relationship, it was extremely refreshing, I could probably read a whole trilogy about them. They are absolutely perfect for each other.

When Kate came up in the story, I was royally annoyed because she wouldn't give him the space he needed. And I was so nervous when she was brought up cause I thought she'd just bring Carter's world down. And he doesn't deserve that, I was like, "Woman! Leave the man alone!".

Anyways, it's a very HEA for Carter and I just adored this book!
