Blush for Me by Kristen Proby

Blush for Me (Fusion, #3)

by Kristen Proby

New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby continues to delight the senses with the latest novel in her delectable Fusion series. As the take-charge wine bar manager of Seduction, Portland's hottest new restaurant, Katrina Meyers is the definition of no-nonsense, and she isn't afraid of anything. Well, almost anything: she hates to fly. When she's forced to travel on a death trap with wings, the turbulence from hell has her reaching for any safe haven-including the incredibly handsome guy sitting next to her. Ryan "Mac" MacKenzie hasn't been able to get his sexy seatmate out of his head. The way she clung to him stirred something inside him he didn't think existed: tenderness. As the owner of a successful wine touring company, Mac thinks he's got a handle on what life can throw at him and he's not prepared for any surprises, especially in the feelings department. And when he brings a tour into Seduction, he sees the petite spitfire he just can't forget. Mac is determined to discover what else they have in common besides fine wine and the inability to keep their hands off each other.
But what will it take for two stubborn people to realize that what they have is so much more than a hot chemistry between the sheets and to admit to falling in love...?

I forgot how much I loved this series and I hate to admit that I forgot about this treasure of a series. I know I'm horrible ... but once I dove into this one, the past two books came rushing back to me and it was insta-love all over again! And it just got me all excited to read Blush for Me.

Blush for Me is the third book in the Fusion series and it's Kat's story! Well, Kat and Mac's story. If you haven't read the previous two in this series, stop reading this and do that ... RIGHT NOW! They're all standalones, but trust me, you'll love reading Listen to Me and Close to You.

Kristen Proby is one of those authors that's always a 1-click buy for me and I was so happy to meet her when they came out to Hawai'i and hosted an author event. I'll get back to the review since I'm getting off topic.

In the beginning of the book, Kat is absolutely dreading flying for the first time to a wine conference in Napa. Being terrified to fly is one thing, but getting lucky and sitting next to a hot and charming man to her soothe her storms of worry is a completely different story. That fortunate man happened to be Mac! And that's where it begins for the both of them.

Mac was so sweet and endearing as he tried to calm Kat as much as possible. If only we were all ever so lucky to be on that flight, I'd have no complaints!

Once Kat gets through the flight, sickness takes over her and she quickly exits the plane, ending our little swoon fest. Just like that. Despite her fear that entire flight there was definitely a connection between the two of them that leaves a lasting impression.

Since Kat is supposed to be on a "sexcation" (yes, it's exactly what you think it means), Mac would be just the person. And the odds seem to be working in their favor as their paths cross again at the conference. After a few glasses of wine, they agree to have a no strings for their entire stay and say their good-byes once the week is up. But lets be honest, like that'll truly happen.

I loved this book so much, as soon as I finished it, I wanted to read it all over again. I was so thankful for the extremely low angst, if there was too much, it definitely would have taken away from the story and their relationship. Proby flawlessly intertwines all of the characters in this series, while not taking away from the main characters. It's hard not to love Mac and Kat. I'm a Washington native and have so much love for the Pacific Northwest, so I enjoyed all the places Proby mentioned. 10 points for Mac being quite the romantic type of guy, he is so attentive to Kat, even when she's extremely independent. He loves to take care her.

You'll definitely enjoy every moment of their story, it's lighthearted and no petty drama! I love a book with zero petty drama. However, there's a bit of suspense towards the end!
