Timid by Devney Perry

Timid (Lark Cove, #2)

by Devney Perry

From USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry comes a small town, unrequited love romance.

Willa Doon has always been shy. Her quiet demeanor was something she’s always embraced. That is, until Jackson Page moves to town. The one man she desperately wants to take notice struggles to remember her name.

Year after year, Willa stands by, watching as the bartender slash playboy drowns his demons in beer and sex. Then one night, he shows up at her door, suddenly aware that the girl he’s seen around Lark Cove is now a beautiful woman.

Except what he doesn’t remember is that this visit isn’t his first. They spent a night together once before. A night he’s forgotten, thanks to a bottle of tequila.

A night that crushed a timid girl’s heart, and set a broken man on the path to heal them both.

Devney Perry is back at it again with book 2 of her Lark Cove series! In this one, we have Willa and Jackson's story. It was a sweet and absolutely heartwarming story. Yeah, I found myself shaking my head at the ever so clueless Jackson one too many times, but I also admired watching Willa grow from this shy to a confident woman!

After reading Tattered, I wasn't exactly a huge fan of Jackson, so he definitely had a lot of redeeming to do in this one. And boy it was so much! I wasn't exactly sold on his quick turn around on his attraction towards Willa. In the beginning, there were definitely more strikes against him. So, I was kept wondering how he'd be able to convince me that he was deserving of the sweet-natured, Willa. But of course, Devney was able to make me fall in love with Jackson!
