I still feel like Dormmamu is diminished here…but then again I’ve really always felt that way with him. I will say that they did help balance out the powers at least, which is greatly appreciated.
This issue brings a conclusion to the plot arc involving the accountant. I like the idea of magic having a cost…I don’t like the idea of somebody being behind the decisions of the cost. It feels biased that way, and less chance.
I will say that I love that Doctor Strange in many ways was not the hero of this issue. It’s perfect for what they’ve been building towards, and I think everyone involved needed it. And yes, I’m including Strange in that list.
I’m going to be curious to see what happens to Wong and Zelma after this issue. It seems like they’ve more or less figured out the pats in life that they want to take…but we’ll see.
