I received an ARC through NetGalley.

This second installment wasn't as interesting as the first. In Ghost Aria, Christy spends a lot of time worrying about her job. She's out to prove something to herself and to her father. She's not just some spoiled, rich girl who lives off of daddy's money and influence, but she is frightened by what happened at the theater. However, she does stay late again, but instead of sneaking up on her, the opera ghost takes her back to his lair.

I was hoping this would be the part where he reveals why he's so interested in her, but instead he just tells Christy that he wants to seduce her. Well, okay? In the original, Christine and the Phantom had years together before he finally came to her, in Ghost Aria, it's been a couple of days. I need a reason not just instalove induced stalking and kidnapping! But it is a good set up for things to come.
