Animal ABC is a funny alphabet primer for babies and young children with silly cartoon animals by Nikolas Ilic. Due out 20th July 2021, it's 26 pages and will be available in boardbook format.

This is a very colorful and appealing book for both the youngest babies and toddlers as well as their caregivers. I have three kids of my own (and assorted nieces, nephews, and other small human friends) and I have experienced the same near-horror of reading "Goodnight Moon" for the 5 millionth time. It's good to have alternatives. This book is fun, unambiguous, creative, and *short* with a nice selection of alphabet animals which are outside the cookie-cutter norm (yes, fox, pig, and zebra are here, but so are narwhal, quetzal, and urial). The art is full of whimsy and humor and the simple text includes some factoid tidbits (narwhal's tusk is actually a tooth! who knew?).

Very cute book, well written and full of adorable animals. Rugged boardbook format. I like it!

Five stars.
