Is it bad that I’m totally shipping Gwenpool and Quintin because of West Coast Avengers? They’re hilarious yet the work oddly well, all things considered. But mostly it’s the chaotic nature of the romance that I’ve been enjoying. That and Gwen’s continued forth wall breaking (comments on how a romantic subplot would get her more page time…things like that). It’s so perfect.
They’re setting up for something big with this issue. We sort of saw it coming, what with the conclusion of the last issue (where the introduced half a dozen potential antagonists) but it’s still really nice to actually see it all in action. The location choice was a nice touch as well, it’s creepy but still leaves room for a little bit of humor.
We’re starting to get to know the other teammates better as well. Obviously we knew some of them going into this, but a couple were lesser known factors, and it’s nice to see them getting fleshed out a bit (though I probably would need to say that if I was up to date in Hawkeye – I’m working on it!).
