Point of No Return by Tiffany Snow

Point of No Return (Kathleen Turner, #5)

by Tiffany Snow

Kathleen Turner wasn’t expecting to fall in love when she came to Indianapolis a year ago, much less with two very different men. And not just any men: brothers.

Blane Kirk, former SEAL turned attorney, is every woman’s dream man. He’s also a playboy who changes women as often as he changes his tie, and trying to hold on to Blane could only break Kathleen’s heart.

Commitment is a foreign word to Kade Dennon, assassin-for-hire and genius hacker, and nothing about him is safe. A future with Kade would surely end in disaster—for both of them.

Past betrayals come to a head, and the choice Kathleen makes could sign her death warrant. Everything’s at stake as Blane, Kade, and Kathleen reach the Point of No Return.

Tiffany has successfully written a love triangle that is so tight, we dive into Point of No Return not knowing which direction the storyline will take us. Will Kathleen go back to Blane or take a chance on Kade?

Point of No Return picks up where we left off in Out of Turn; Kathleen and Blane keeping a constant vigil at Kade's hospital bedside. There's a lot of toing and froing in the first third of the book whilst Kathleen comes to terms with the situation she is in. The tension between the main characters is palpable. A twist in the storyline forces Kathleen's fate. Warning: have plenty of tissues handy because you'll need them.

Despite Kathleen's decision, the journey to the eventual Happy Ever After is a bumpy one. Recurring characters comes back to stir things up, whilst the main characters are trying to live with the consequences of their actions. Angst is a plenty! Don't despair! There are times of lightheartedness and humour too. All loose ends are successfully tied up. The epilogue provides an interesting insight in how Kathleen, Blane and Kade's lives have panned out post decision. I found this part most intriguing.

The writing is impeccable, as always. Tiffany has a way of sucking a reader right into the story, making the characters almost human and the plots addictive. As someone who has developed an unprecedented obsession with Kathleen, Blane and Kade over the last two years, is is hard to let the characters go, even though their story is now told.

The important thing to remember when embarking on reading a love triangle is the fact there is a 50% chance you wont agree with the choice the heroine makes. The Kathleen Turner Series is no exception. Some will love the outcome, some wont. Therefore it is important to remember that Kathleen picked the guy that suited her the best.
