Just Physical was a lot more serious than the other books I've read by this author, but that doesn't mean I liked it any less. Jill has been newly diagnosed with MS, which we learned in Departure from the Script. Now, she's have trouble getting roles because of it. Of course, no casting directors will say it's because of that, but Jill knows. Especially when she lands a role and the director won't even let her trip for herself. Call in, Crash, super sexy stunt-woman who believes she's doubling for a spoiled Hollywood diva. But Jill soon cures her of that thought, and replaces it with dirtier ones.

Just Physical deals more with Jill's MS than the relationship, but that makes sense. Her disease takes precedent for Jill, and anyone she's involved with has to be able to handle it as well. That's why Jill has sworn off dating, but there's no reason she can't enjoy some casual sex while she still can, right? Jill struggles every single day, and it's not even with her symptoms. People who know want to constantly help her, are constantly asking if she's okay or able to do something. She wants to live her life independently and as normal as possible. She doesn't want a caregiver. But Jill is too stubborn for her own good and really doesn't know anything about what her future with MS will look like. It's Crash who helps her open up and actually look for other couples to see what it's like.

Just because Just Physical has an overall more serious tone, doesn't mean it's a downer. There's plenty of funny and heartfelt moments throughout. Crash and Jill start off with some wicked banter, and then continue to have very sexually charged encounters. It helps that Crash is a bit of a female Casanova, and sweeps Jill off her feet in spite of herself.

I really enjoyed Just Physical. I feel like I learned more about MS, although it's certainly not everything. The romance was steamy and sweet. And it was a lot of fun to see the characters working on Shaken to the Core!
