Tony has been through quite a lot in the last couple of years, so it probably goes without saying just how wonderful it is to see him back to his old self. Well, mostly. As in usual Tony fashion he’s constantly seeking bigger, better, more advanced designs for his suits, and you’ll see plenty of them in this issue.
My only complaint about this issue is the pacing. It was a little fast and busy for my liking – I think I would have preferred for the events to have been stretched out between two issues, but hey, I’ll take what I can get! There are a couple of points that literally made me laugh out loud, and they took the time to establish a few longer-term plots, though some were more subtle than others.
All in all I’m absolutely thrilled to have Tony back. I do hope some of the plots started during the in both the Invincible and Infamous Iron Man series, but at the same time I’m pretty happy with how things concluded. I can’t wait to see where this newly rebooted series goes – and how it fits in with the current Avengers continuity.
