A fun collection for those who love to have their head in the clouds

Written with the shared theme of flying, Love is in the Air has romantic stories by five authors, each with strong spiritual overtones. First Class Wrong Flight is a full-length novel – the others are shorter in length.

While all the stories were enjoyable. I must confess that A Castle in the Clouds by Candee Fick stood out far above the others. I loved this sweet story of the shy woman who loved writing and teaching about it, and the handsome history teacher who was her co-leader on the tour of literary places in England, Scotland, and Paris. The imaginative way in which this was told made me so happy!

Having read stories in the past by all the authors except Kathleen Friesen, I was glad for the introduction to her writing through Written in the Clouds. I enjoyed this story of mother and daughter; father and son, and the writing in the sky.

I will note for those for whom First Class Wrong Flight is their first Laura V. Hilton story. It was a fun story but I don't think it comes close to representing her style. Make sure this is not the only book that you read by her.

Several of the stories introduced a mysterious event that never seemed to be resolved. In one case, it was secondary to the story and was used to explain something else that happened. It didn't leave the story hanging in any of the cases but was something I noticed.

If you enjoy Christian romance, this collection is a fun choice to while away a lazy day.
