So this book was a complete winner for me from beginning to end. I have many of this author's books on my "TO READ" list but much to my chagrin this was the first one I have gotten around to reading. And let me tell you I am kicking myself for waiting so long to give her a go. This may have been my first, but it definitely will NOT be my last.

So deets...first I want to step a little onto my soapbox (or maybe just a small step stool), but this book proved to me that you CAN write an intelligent and engaging story without a bunch of OW drama. Without a manwhore hero. Without bashing the reader over the head with the hero's sexual past. What a refreshing change of pace this book was in the land of uber manwhores. OK, stepping back down and continuing on. As I said above this was fantastically well written and paced. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. I am a sucker for a good lawyer book. Have those lawyers in the courtroom, and you have me riveted. As you could already guess from my above comments, there was ZERO ow/om drama. Very little angst. The sex scenes were hot. The secondary characters were intriguing. I am definitely looking forward to reading more about those Walker brothers, AND I hope that Cat's brothers get their own books as well.

Both main characters were extremely likable. The banter between these two was perfect. It was humorous. It was intelligent. Like witty foreplay and I loved every minute of it. Reese was a perfect hero. Arrogant but sweet. Sexy as hell. All it took was one little blonde firecracker to call him on his manners, and he was down for the count. Cat was equally charming. Smart. Big hearted. Fiery. A little weary at first because of her past but she never let that get in the way of her feelings for Reese. PERFECT. These two were just utter perfection. Lastly, it was all wrapped up in a lovely ending that will leave with a huge smile on your face. Two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.
