Sins of the Reaper is book ten in the Western Wind series. This book could easily be read as a standalone book, but it would be more enjoyable if the previous books are read. It took me on a roller coaster ride of highs and lows. I laughed, cried, became angry, and at times I was stunned into disbelief. Charlotte Boyett-Compo writes characters that are so real you forget that these are supernatural beings.

This book brought even more hot, supernatural, alpha heroes to my world. There were numerous characters from previous books, and the author did a great job of bringing pertinent information from previous books to this book so the reader didn't feel lost. This book was so hot I could barely hold it in my hands. Everyone was happily enjoying their mates. There were a couple of surpise matings that became weddings. There were some long lost sibling reunions that really brought tears to my eyes. My heart was broken when one revelation was much more painful than any creature could bear. My nerves were on edge through the heat of battle and once I again I found myself in tears at the pain, suffering, and loss during battle.

This book was all of the best of the series with the action, adventure, suspense, and romance. There was nothing about this book that was less than excellent. The pace was rapid, characters were well fleshed out, and the storyline was entertaining and filled with emotional twists.
