I have to say that when I first began this book, I really wasn’t sure I was going to like it. See, this book takes place in a little town (which is fine, I l like small town settings), two people going back to their hometown, two people who were high school rivals. All ok. The kicker? The both are running funeral homes. Funeral homes. Finn owns his own funeral home and Ellie has come home to help run the family funeral home. She is coming home to her childhood home, family business and a father who has succumbed to Alzheimer’s.

I was like, ok, this is kind of weird to read about this in this genre.
