I absolutely freaked when I found out that Ironheart was getting her own series. I know, I know, technically she already had her own series during Invincible Iron Man. But that wasn’t quite the same thing. We all knew that what was happening there wouldn’t be permanent – for crying out loud the series was still named Iron Man! Now we know that Riri is here to stay, and I couldn’t be happier.
Since her character has already been established they had an easier time with the first issue. They didn’t have to spend time telling us her backstory, or her superhero origin or anything like that. Instead we were able to jump right into the conflicts she facing, from the personal level to the supervillain level. All things considered it was a great start for her. I can’t wait to read more of it.
