If you love hot air balloons, traveling around to places you never even knew existed and treasure hunts with a dash of comedy. Then this book is for you. I dove into this wanting to be taken on a grand adventure from my little town and i got exactly that. The hot air balloon descriptions, the people that the Colonel brings along on what turns out to be not only a treasure hunt but a search for a missing relative is quite the adventure to be had.

The story begins with us meeting Bee a 13 year old acrobat who has been trapped performing for a nasty employer. When she runs away she does so only after glancing the Colonel in the audience and deciding that their got to be more out their. She knows nothing about this man and even finds out this his a galvanting man who dumbs poor ladies off with trunks after they spent a night in the OX which is the name of the famous hot air balloon.

Soon she learns their is so much more to the Colonel and she is wisked off on adventure that spans the globe hunting down criminals and treasure. I loved every second of reading this story and truly want to have my own adventure aboard the OX someday.
