A horrifyingly good book that was utterly disturbing and yet I couldn't put it down. This book deals with such a hot-button theme - child sexual abuse - which was extremely difficult to read. The perpetrator is identified to the reader early on and, IMHO, that just makes what happens even more horrible...because WE know things the characters don't.

The saving grace, and what made this book readable for me, was the all-consuming and deep love that Sean and Shelley have for their child.
