I’ll confess, I wasn’t one hundred percent sold on it – not once it became clear that most of the characters advertised were not actually joining the series (really wanted some more Darkhawk in my life). But it has grown on me.
The Rich Ryder cameo was a good call, and honestly I did enjoy seeing Groot’s behavior in this issue. He’s his own character, even if sometimes he acts more like a support or background character. So it’s nice to see him step up and take a stand, you know?
