Ledge by Stacey McEwan

Ledge (The Glacian Trilogy, #1)

by Stacey McEwan

Dawsyn does not know what it is to live below. She was born on the Ledge—a prison with no need for walls and chains, an icy mountain shelf. When an opportunity to escape the Ledge presents itself for the first time in half a century, Dawsyn must take it. All she has to do is trust the very creature who kept her captive in the first place.

Really struggled with what to rate this book. I don’t have a lot of concrete critique, it’s just that I wasn’t completely buying in. The concept is somewhat unique for this fantasy-romance genre, and it read honestly as a higher quality piece of writing than a lot of its peers lol. But I didn’t find myself super excited to pick it back up I guess? But I’ll probably grab the sequel? I keep flipping between 3 & 4 starts because I feel like it’s objectively (as much as it can be objective) worth a 4 and subjectively a 3….so idk
