It was immense and surreal, but underneath all the chaos there was a shining light. Me and him. And I was enough. I was enough.

Dear Mr. Brody is an m/m, teacher/student, age gap, bi-awakening, single dad romance told in the first-person point of view of Donovan and Parker.

Donovan was married to his high school sweetheart who he had a little girl with but when they get a divorce he is ready to test out his attraction to guys that he has always kept at bay. He did not expect his first attraction to be one of his students at his new teaching job. Not wanting to lose his job, he tries to keep his distance from Parker.

Parker had a rough time while he was in the Air Force and now that he is out, both from the Air Force and hiding his sexuality, he is ready to move forward. When he walks into one of his classes at college, he is struck by how good-looking his teacher is. After connecting on a dating app, he is determined to make Mr. Brody see that what they have is real.

My Thoughts ...

Donovan and Parker’s story is one of growth and figuring out who you truly are meant to be. They had me smiling, laughing, and even tearing up. I was so drawn into the story that I never wanted it to end. I loved how their relationship grew before they knew it was each other. Parker is perfect for Donovan at finally making him comfortable enough to truly be who he is meant to be. Donovan’s daughter is an awesome addition to the story as well as the other side characters. This is my first A.M. Johnson book and it will not be my last.
