Lady Killer by Jamie Rich, Joelle Jones

Lady Killer (Lady Killer)

by Jamie Rich and Joelle Jones

Josie Schuller is a picture-perfect homemaker, wife, and mother--but she's also a ruthless, efficient killer! She's balanced cheerful domestic bliss with coldly performed assassinations, but when Josie finds herself in the crosshairs, her American Dream life is in danger!

A brand-new original black comedy series that combines the wholesome imagery of early 1960s domestic bliss with a tightening web of murder, paranoia, and cold-blooded survival.

"LADY KILLER is just as much splash-page gore as it is a biting commentary on American society, creating a well-balanced work for both fans of horror and of smart political thrillers." -fangoria.com

I very much appreciate that Lady Killer, featuring a housewife-cum-assassin main character, exists. This volume mostly seems to adhere to tropes of the assassin genre. I hope the next volume develops the story more, maybe veer off the track a bit. The art is fantastic and the homely aesthetic clashes wonderfully with the gruesome nature of many of the scenes.
